When it comes to 10-person tents, the Coleman WeatherMaster is the best all-round tent for camping in a large group. It features multiple rooms, a hinged door and a 450mm water-resistance rating.
The Ozark 10-Person Family Tent is also an excellent multi-room tent but doesn't always hold up as well in strong wind or rain.

Best 10 Person Tent - Buyer's Guide
How big is a 10 person tent?
A good 10-person tent should ideally have a floor area between 150 to 200 square feet (14 to 18.6 square meters) in order to fit 10 people inside and have some extra space for bags and camping gear.
Height
10-Person tents are also generally quite tall so that you can stand up straight and roam around inside. They usually have a peak height around 6 or 7 feet (1.8 to 2.1 meters).
Height will also differ between the style of tent. Extended dome tents will have a high center and lower heights in the extended sections while cabin-style tents will have a more regular height throughout the tent.
Are 10-person tents easy to put up?
Certain styles of 10-person tents are easier to set up than others, although many manufacturers are now color-coding their poles to make the process easier.
Instant tents are designed with the frame and poles pre-attached so that all you need to do is unfold it and extend the poles. These tents take a mere matter of minutes to set up and are perfect for people who are inexperienced with camping or simply want a quick and easy tent to pitch.
Cabin tents are more of a two-person job so they are more suited if you’re going to be camping in the same spot for a couple of days. Dome tents are easier to set up on your own but don’t provide the same amount of space and room to roam inside as a cabin tent.
Weight
Because of their size, 10-person tents tend to be quite heavy. Tents made from higher quality materials are also heavier than cheaper tents so bear that in mind when making your decision.
Materials: Poles and fabric
Tent poles are usually made from fiberglass but if you’re looking for something stronger then try to find a tent with aluminium poles.
Most 10-person tents are made from polyester or nylon fabrics to help reduce the weight.
Weather-Resistance and Season Rating
Due to their size, most 10-person tents aren’t made for harsh weather conditions as they have a large surface area that can buckle in wind. Rainflys help to make tents more water-resistant but are often small and cover only the top of the tent.
Tents with a double-layer design or a full-coverage rainfly are more suitable for cold and rainy weather as they prevent water from getting into the tent.
All tents on this list are 3-season tents and are better suited for summer camping trips. If you need a tent for winter camping, make sure you find one with a 4-season rating that can handle harsh weather conditions.
Accessories
Room dividers
Most 10-person tents come with either one or two room dividers so that you can separate the space into two or three rooms. This is a great feature to create some extra privacy when camping in a large group or with your family.
Screen Room
Some tents feature a screen room to provide a shaded area outside the actual tent.
Dark Rest Technology
Dark Rest tents help to keep the interior cooler in the hot sun and block out the glare so that you can sleep later in the mornings or enjoy an afternoon nap.
